This here photo has been locked onto my desktop since the first year I had this computer... that makes it three years now! I don't ever recall looking up this geographical site. Luckily my long time roommate and friend Anna Segal informed me that it is an interesting rock/mountain in Australia... but we have no idea how it became locked up on Opal (my mac).
It seems the mystery of "The Rock from Down Under," may never be solved but I would really love to get it off my mac! Does anyone know how to unlock files??

in the finder window, select the photo and hit apple+i. In the general section there is a box that says locked... uncheck this box. then hit apple+delete and empty your trash. Presto, you will never have to look at it again.
